Dear New House,

If I were able to talk to these walls and know that they understand and hear what I need to tell them this is what I would say....

Our family is a little wild. So wild that on Friday night we might in the bed by 9pm. Whoa. I know. During the week, you might think I look like a chicken with my head cut off. Thank God you have a dish washer already installed. You have no idea how much time that will save me. By the way, I love the extra padding under the carpet in the bed rooms. It feels like Heaven under my feet. On a serious note, you will be where we raise our kids. Where we teach them right from wrong. Where we show them how much we love them. Where they bring their friends to spend the night. Where they get so mad at us they can't see straight, but will one day understand. Where they will laugh. Where they will cry. Where we will eat dinner as a family & talk about our day. Just so you know, our typical dinner conversation doesn't consist of 'Hey, how was your day?' It is more like this, 'Mom, can we watch Spongebob?' or 'Mom, do I really have to take a bath?' or 'Lindsay, can we stay up late?' you get my drift. You may feel a little invaded right now. We have moved a lot in over the past few days. I promise we are almost done. Just know, that Mattellen likes to run through the house. I really think she likes to hear the pattering noise her feet make. She has done it since she was a baby. Noodle loves to hear his feet on the floor as well. Must be a brother sister thing. I am excited that we chose you to be a part of our family. I am sure we will share lots of good memories together. I promise we will try not to tear you down.

Anyway, Kevin and I are just about moved in. I am sure our neighbors are wondering what in the hell has moved in. We have not finished hanging blinds. Instead, Kevin taped an Ironman blanket over our bedroom window! HA!!! It looks awesome. The best part, that is the window that faces the road :) Classy, I know.
Mattellen has an empty box over her window. Thank goodness my Mom is coming to finish hanging the blinds today. I am sure they are ready for us to take our window decor down!!

A huge major big mega THANK YOU to Mike, Kyle, and my Mom. They all helped us move. The guys moved all the furniture and heavy boxes. I have just about finished unpacking. It is amazing the things you accumulate over the years.

We have had to remind Mattellen that we have human neighbors now several times. The first night that we were moving in she went out on the back deck and started howling. Yeah. I am not sure what provoked it, but it happened. My mom could have croaked. She said 'Mattellen, stop that, you have neighbors now' Mattellen proceeded to tell us that she hated the city because she is a country girl.

The neighbors have not introduced themselves to us. Oh well. The ones on the left of us need to clean up their yard. Apparently, the guys name is Butch, at least that is what the side of his truck says. They have enough 'yard art' for everyone in the neighborhood. The ones across the street probably think we are weird. They do get a view of Ironman every morning :)

I guess I better go finish unloading boxes. My plan is to have it all done by this evening. We will see how well that works out for me..........(I am not holding my breath on this plan)

The Good Stuff

In case you don't really know me, but you read my blog because you are nosy. I mean, really, we all know that we stalk each other through blogs, Facebook, Twitter, etc...

Well, at least I do. I love reading other people's drama. Makes me feel better about my own. Anyway, a day in my life can be super exciting. Depending on the day. Some days I am really boring.

I decided that I would share some funny stories from work and pictures from my phone....sit back and enjoy the show...

It never fails that every day something awesome happens at work. Whether it be a temp calling in and asking a random question OR something I say. Alicia brings great entertainment to the table as well.

My most favorite line when I call someone to tell them they failed their drug test is this 'but it was only one time and it was a long time ago' I SO want to say 'Really, all it takes is one time, let me guess you didn't inhale, and by the way clearly it was less than 30 days ago'

Alicia and I are very random. We love to laugh. I could laugh all day long. We were settling on some money they she owed me for whatever reason- the picture says it all.
(I cut off the account # and her address for safety purposes)

As I was leaving work the other day I noticed something very odd in the window- these people have inflatable in their office. Yes, I am serious.
There is a green one (not sure what it is suppose to be) and a snow man. That's a little much, but whatever floats their boats.

The kids and I created a play doh hamburger :)

So, the other day I took the elevator down to the mail room (yes, I am lazy). I stepped in and noticed something unusual on the floor. It was a nail. A finger nail to be exact...What the H. Who just rips their nail off and drops it on the floor of the elevator. O-M-G.

This past Saturday Kevin took his truck to get an oil change. Hayden and I stayed in my car until he came out of Wal-Mart. Maybe we had a mini photo session and I don't edit my shoot. This is raw material. Let me quote what he told me before each picture..

"Hey, Lindsay, take my picture with me laying like this"
"Do I look like a monkey when I do this?"
"HAAAA, what do you think about this face, Lindsay? Do I look crazy?"
"Hey, um do you mind if I just put my feet out the window? It feels really good."
"Wait, let me get my eyes right."

I really love this little guy, now you see why. He is a mess!

My most favorite picture....
I will explain- I am the worlds worst when it comes to typo's. I don't even correct them anymore. The ones I am talking to get what I am saying.
Anyway, Alicia and I were IM'ing today about a letter I had to compose in regards to the new house Kevin and I bought. I wanted her to review what I had written. So, I IM'ed her and told her what I was doing she replied 'to say what?' and you can see what came out next...geez.
Yep. That just happened. I looked Alicia and her face was BRIGHT red. I then looked at what I typed and realized what had happened. We laughed until we cried. Then laughed some more. And we still laugh.

My little Mattellen, she is the best. Sweet little girl has started bartering at school. I guess that is better than kicking kids or causing them not to want to sit by her. Or even scribbling out the teacher's notes. She came home on Tuesday and she said I made 52 cents and got some purple finger nail polish. I said really, how? She said 'Well, do you mind if I sell my purple scarf?' I started to answer and she interrupted me and said "Mom, it's already sold." Well, whatever. She sold it for more than I could have at a yard sale. I am curious to see what she sells next. I am sure the other little girls mother is wondering where her change is............................................

Well, I will leave you with this....Kevin and I close on our new home Dec 14th. If you like moving then you are welcome to help us :)
